Courtesy of generous donations, primarily from the National Heritage Lottery Fund and the York and North Yorkshire Regional Authority Capital Development and Delivery Programme, together with a number of other charities, St. Laurence church is being refurbished, including building work on the tower, a kitchen, a disability toilet, new heating and lighting and a flexible space for small meetings. The work is expected to last 28 weeks. During this time all church services will be held at St. Chad’s Great Habton, apart from a Carol Service In the Village Hall, 14th December 6:00pm.
